Finding The Perfect Wedding Reception Rentals Business

Lucy Hamilton

Unless you have big family and friend gatherings frequently, chances are high that you do not have enough tables, chairs and linen's for the entire guest list of the wedding reception. Have no fear. There are many wedding reception rentals available from a variety of sources and come in a variety of prices. A simple trip to a local phone book can show all the listings for equipment rental within your area.

Wedding reception rentals encompass anything from the chairs to the actual wedding reception table decorations. Wedding professionals are the best source of information for renting linens, tables and chairs for the reception. But not everyone can afford to hire a wedding planner. For those cases it is best to do some calling around to local businesses that specialize in equipment rental.

Wedding reception rentals can usually be found in the phone book. If they are not listed separately then any party supply store may be able to help you out. Once the business is located, a decision on how many tables and corresponding chairs must be decided. You must give the wedding reception rentals business advance notice and book the day of your wedding and reception. If it is during the "busy season", namely May, June and July, expect to have to call around to a variety of businesses. These months book up quickly, so the sooner you know the firm date the better it will be for reserving the needed equipment.

Most wedding reception rentals businesses also offer linens for the tables as well as chair covers. If they do not have a color that matches your wedding scheme, consider going with an all white linen and then decorating it with fabric remnants in your chosen color. This adds a bit of dramatic splash and can also work very well with the chair covers. Take a satin ribbon, in the color of your choice, and use it as a tie on the back. It is inexpensive and a great decorative touch.

Leaving for the honeymoon should be the only thing on your mind once the reception is over. Often, when dealing with wedding reception rentals, it is not because the site needs to be cleaned and the equipment returned. Take the headache away by asking a trusted friend or family member to be in charge of cleaning and returning the borrowed tables and chairs. They will not mind helping you out on your special day.

Wedding Tip
Bow tie: A short tie shaped like a bow that can be worn with a wing or laydown collar. Most bow ties adjust to fit al neck sizes and are available in a variety of widths, colors, and patterns to match the vest or cummerbund, though black is classiest and doesn't scream ‘high school prom'. Be sure to get a real bow tie and not a clip-on.
